Mrs. Geraldine LaBelle

Mrs. Geraldine Irene (Windrow) LaBelle, 86, of Cheshire, formerly of Adams, died on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born in North Adams on September 18, 1931, daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Roberts) Windrow. She attended schools in North Adams.
Mrs. LaBelle last worked in the children's department of the former Steigers Department Store at the Berkshire Mall. Earlier she had worked for many years at the former Waverly Fabrics and ALADCO Laundry, both in Adams.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams. She spent her final months living with her daughter and spending time with family, providing them all with a lifetime of memories that will keep them smiling forever.
Her husband, Arthur W. LaBelle, whom she married on May 14, 1949, died on September 30, 1975.
She is survived by five children; Stephen LaBelle and his wife Gail of Becket, Craig LaBelle and his wife Karen of North Adams, Denise LaBelle of North Adams, Robbyn LaBelle of Durham, NC and Tarryn Raimer and her husband Steve of Cheshire, with whom she made her home;
Seventeen grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sons, Glenn LaBelle who died on April 18, 2016 and Denis LaBelle who died on June 12, 2007. She was also predeceased by her brother, Robert Windrow and by her sister, Jane Morgan.
The family would like to thank Caitlin Roberts, NP, CHP-Adams, whom Geraldine truly adored, for her compassionate care, Dr. Cheung, CHP and all the staff of the ICU at Berkshire Medical Center that showed true compassion and professionalism during her last few days of care. Thank You!
Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.
There are no calling hours.
