Mr. Gerald Edward Lawson

Mr. Gerald Edward Lawson, 82, of Adams, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Craneville Place in Dalton.
He was born in Worcester on May 24, 1935, son of the late Robert and Mary (Davison) Lawson. He attended schools in Adams.
Mr. Lawson was a Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, having served with the United States Army until receiving his Honorable Discharge as Specialist Third Class on February 14, 1957.
Mr. Lawson last worked for Construction Drilling until retiring in 2000. Earlier he had been an independent distributor for Arnold Bakery and had worked for the former Adams Supermarket as Produce Manager.
He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. He enjoyed playing racquetball at the Bousquet Mountain Club.
His wife, the former Edith Cecelia Banas, whom he married in June of 1959, died on January 4th, 1980.
He is survived by two sons, Eric Lawson and his wife Andreanna of Monument, CO and Alan Lawson of Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren, Tim Lawson and his wife Jaimie of Minnetonka, MN, Chris Lawson and his wife Lilia of Boulder, CO and Kayla Lawson of Denver, CO; one great granddaughter, Hayes Isobel Lawson; his sister-in-law Janet Higgins and her husband Michael, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be at a later date to be announced.
There are no calling hours.
